medical card review

Just got a letter in the post saying that my medical card eligibility needs to be reviewed.

I'm in between moving houses - having sold my ppr - and have the sale proceeds on account. However, these savings will go straight out the door the moment I buy a replacement property - which will not be long (if i can help it).

How thorough are bank account checks? I just feel that it would be frustrating to fail eligibility due to temporarily having money on deposit...

They will know about the money through revenue rather than checking bank accounts

Your son living with you will not affect any of your entitlements whatsover

Is this still the case if he has to apply for a medical card himself using our address. I'm just so afraid it wont because we need the medical card due to long term illness. And he needs to put down our address for sw payment and medical card.

If you are under 70 and getting g the Household Benefits Package and your son comes to live with you and he is working or getting JSA then you will lose the Package but you will not lose your medical card, nor will the fact that he is living with you affect his entitlement.
