Ask the expert online trainer concept

    Hey everyone,
I’m doing a project for my honours degree and I am looking to get some feedback on my business concept.

The business concept is an online “Ask the expert” bodybuilding training and advice website service for beginners or people who have reached a plateau in their training. The expert will be a professional bodybuilder.

The website will have free tutorial videos on how to lift with proper form and free tutorials on how to prepare your meals. To get your training and nutritional plan u will have to pay to talk to the expert. The expert will discuss the training and nutritional program that he created specifically for you through scheduled pre-payed webcam sessions. You can also schedule sessions to ask the expert anything bodybuilding related.

An initial fee of €20 would be paid so the expert can create a training and nutrition program for u based on your age, experience, bodyweight, height etc. This fee includes one 5 minute webcam session.

Follow up sessions will cost €6 for 10 minutes.

Personally if I could go back in time I would use a service like this because it took me years of trial and error (mostly watching youtube videos) to get my training and nutrition right... I got injured regularly in the beginning and I’ve wasted a lot of money on supplements that do nothing!

So what do u guys think? Is it a good idea? Would you use this service? Is the cost reasonable?
Any feedback would be appreciated guys.
    Cheers
    Colin.

That would depend on how old you are and how long you are training.

I can't see people paying for that since they could get it on this forum for free.

How is this different than just paying a trainer 30-60 bucks for an hour for some 1 on 1 tuition and reading bodybuilding.Com?
A trainer will be able to work more with you in 1 hour than some guy over poor quality video in 10 minutes and the cost is comparable. It's not like trainers aren't hard to find or schedule appointments with

I think your cost point is too high right now. 20 fee plus 6 for ten minutes. And any information they will be able to impart is freely available online.

I would class my self as a beginner and with really minimal effort I know what supplements are a waste of time and what programme I should be doing and I can find a new one easily should my goals change.

Maybe with more 1 on 1 through emails. Or a high price but more free video time. Like 40 up front but 45 minutes assessments and coaching.

As this thread contravenes the 'dont use boards for research' rule, its getting closed.
