    Reported in yesterday's Farm Indo - http://www.independent.ie/business/farming/major-boost-as-stena-opens-up-live-cattle-route-29996166.html

"It is understood that cattle trucks will be carried on Stena sailings from Roslare to Fishguard, reopening the route to Britain for live shippers.

The decision was warmly welcomed by ICSA president Patrick Kent, who said that the decision represented 'a highly significant boost to the beleaguered livestock sector'.

Mr Kent said the news followed months of hard work by ICSA who had brought live exporters and the shipping company to the table and pushed the Department of Agriculture to ensure that the necessary approval would be forthcoming.
    "

I can't see any other coverage of it online yet, but I would have assumed this is a pretty big deal?

Will be interesting what kind of capacity Stena will be operating on - I assume this will be primarily on the late PM sailings?

Any thoughts? Could this help alleviate the bull beef issue?

A small help no doubt but I'm sure Labhreas Fearmaith et al will do their damndest to spike the venture.

Seen in the Journo that other shippers are boycotting sales where Emerald agents are active - this can't help too much either.
