this is a very volatile stock indeed but since the previous CEO ( mason ) was let go and replaced with lefkofsky , things appear to have turned around , the stock is up more than 100% in the past twelve months , il admit I done well out of it while holding it for a month last august

anyone think the company has a good model or is the model itself so easy to emulate ( their are loads of similar services ) that solid growth is difficult for any particular outfit ?

IMO they need to cut costs drastically and in light of the recent acquisitions, the bottomline might be hit hard if no immediate synergy for the next few quarters. Of course the present bubbly Wall Street doesn't care about short term profits as long as the topline is growing. Crazy if you ask me.

guidance has been key this quarter , twitter beat estimates comfortably but predicted lower new membership going forward , stock tanked by nearly 20%

I think groupon will be all about growth projections next week at earnings
