    Whats the amount of money one can earn before paying any tax? im single and living at home and im in my twentys.

    We have a system of tax Credits for Income tax so if you have a PAYE job then you can earn €16,500 before you pay income tax assuming you get your credits allocate to your job. PRSI kicks in at €18,304 and no USC on less than €10,036.

    and if ur not in a PAYE job? like u have to do your own taxs and the employer doesnt do taxs for u

    Income tax @ 20% after €8,250, PRSI @ 3% if you earn over 5,200 in a year, USC is the same.
