Replacement Power Supply for Dell Inspiron 530

A family friend has a 5 year old Inspiron 530 that fills their needs but the power supply has blown. They've asked me to look at fixing it if possible and I'm wondering what is the most economical replacement PSU that will suit.

The PSU in question is a Bestec ATX0300D5WB Rev:X3.

I've seen some on ebay for €30 to €80 second hand but there are plenty of new PSU's out there for around €40 which is about all they're willing to spend on getting it back in working order at the moment, plus I'm not sure if only the PSU has blown so don't wantto spend too much and still end up with a dead PC. Currently only powering motherboard, hard drive and DVD drive so don't require anything fancy.

Any recommendations for a suitable PSU for around €40 delivered?

the psu will not fit in the case, you have to cut the case to fit, dell uses non standard parts

also make sure its the same connections

you might have to turn power supply upside down and also cut the case

This would be fine, good quality supply and price includes delivery. It's far more than it even needs.

You can put a regular ATX psu into the 530. 90% of Dell machines take ATX psu's the last 5+ years.

Don't confuse the 530 with the 530s. The slim 530s requires a low profile PSU.
