Me and a mate are looking to lay down some vocal tracks and would prefer to do it in a studio rather than annoying neighbours. Problem is a lot of the studios seem to just do 4-5 hour blocks for 40-60 quid even at weekends. Are there any that charge by the hour as we'd only be looking for 1-2 hours at a time?

Do you have your own recording equipment ?
Are you looking for a weekend slot and how many sessions are you looking for ?

would need a PA at least. weekend slot would be preferable, not sure on the amount of sessions yet - would be looking for somewhere where we could just drop in irregularly whenever.

Best bet is to get enough stuff together to warrant the 4-6 block each time, it'll probably work out cheaper and you won't feel as rushed!

So are you looking for a rehearsal room that you can record in?

As lefyflip just said why not wait till you have need of a 4-6 hour slot and book one of the budget recording studios for that amount of time?

I would need it structured for it to work for me , you should take the advice build up enough material to cover a block booking in a studio
