No oil or air coming out when bleeding oil burner

Hi,
We accidentally let the tank run low and the burner locked out. Just got a refill and tried to bleed the line but there's no air or oil coming out from the valve. Is it something we're doing wrong or should we call the plumber?

What make of burner and where are you trying to bleed it from a pic would be very helpful

Filter, oil line or fire valve could be blocked with sludge from low fuel level.

Switch off tank valve, unscrew the bottom off the oil filter & see if there is clean fuel there. That would be your starting point.

Thanks for the quick response..I'll try the oil filter in the morning, I'm frozen solid from trying to fix it all evening and in the dark I might do more harm than good!

What quantity did you get?
