I checked the facebook page and tried to get a bit more info on this but I couldn't find any (Maybe I didn't look to hard, or I'm looking in the wrong place).

What can I expect from Hexacon:
    - Are there only tournaments? What are they? As in which games?
    - Are there people to explain the games there for people that never saw a specific game?
    - How does the overall Hexacon works?

I'm asking this because where I come from there's an "expo/con" organized by a boardgamers group every year where you basically can go and try out games that you never saw before and there are people there to explain/play with you. I wish to know if Hexacon follow a similar approach or not :)

    Thank you

The Hexacon league will be played in a 4 game format, the four chosen games are

    Ticket To Ride
    Carcassonne
    Settlers of Catan
    Kingdom Builder

There will also be a Love Letter tournament and both tournaments have prizes.

There will many other games being demonstrated such as Descent, the Pathfinder Card Game and the new wargame Deadzone.

There will be a library of games that everyone can play. Also we will be bouncing around running games and explaining rules.

Below are links to the collections of two of the organisers so you can see what games are available.

I might head to this for a few hours. I have something on in the middle of the day, and there's rugby but I figure a few hours of board games could be stress relieving.
