    Hi!
I'm on Foundation Course in Cancelling Center In Cork. I'd like to do some other cert courses like family therapy, eating disorders, or addictions in meanwhile. There is only one condition: it must be online or in Cork (evenings/weekends) , I'm not very flexible (family) I was searching internet looking for online courses but I'm completely lost. I'd like to find something worth my money and my time, something recognized, and helpful with future job finding.
Could you give me some advise? Please. I'm a foreigner, so believe me any advise will be helpful.

Personally, I would start out with what interests me, or what line of work I want to get into, and then tailor my search around these area's.

TBH, online learning, although valuable, will not really assist you in developing practical skills. From a previous post, I see you are completing a dip in counselling. IMO, putting the money you may spend on distance learning towards a degree, will enhance your skill base and also make you more employable.

Certificate courses, are mainly utilised for CPD, getting educated to the highest standard you can i.e. degree or masters will offer you more opportunities, as opposed to undertaking numerous certificate courses

    Thank you dar100,

So from what you are saying, you would not recommend to do certs in areas I'm interested in. Instead you suggest to don't stop on Diploma and go for Degree?

In case I'm very stubborn, what online "collage" is the most popular/recognized in Ireland, please? I'm mostly interested in family therapy addictions and eating disorders.

The best online courses are the ones provided by real universities.
