Is a new quickie loader worth 5200 inc vat fitted on a tl100? Feeding around 300 bales a year?

Couple of examples to give you an idea, the quickes would be older model loaders though.
That mx loader would be fairly good value and should be grand for 300bales a year...

Don't think you will get a new quicke for that, let alone fitted

I have a quote for one fitted for that so you think it would be a good deal as opposed to 3500-4000 for second hand one

    Are you sure it's not 5200 +vat+fitting??

If that price is all in go for it.

Are you getting third service fitted for bale handler?
    Will it have softdrive?
    Will it have self levelling?

You'll need to budget for implement s also

About 2 years ago I got a quote off Rossmore for a FL 45 (suit 80 - 100hp 4wd) loader fully fitted, brackets etc, 3rd service, joystick (no implements) for somewhere between €5 - €6k inc vat depending on spec.

A bare loader boom from Rossmore (ie no fitting, no brackets) was 3.5K and got a quote for a trima/quicke @ 3.8k again for just a boom.

Those prices are aprox 2 years old and things havn't got any cheaper since. If its a fully fitted, self levelling Quicke at €5,200 it sounds a very good deal. By the way soft ride is well worth the €200 odd extra, much safer and easier on tractor & loader.

However if you are asking is it worth spending that kind of money for 300 bales (handled twice per year), I suppose that call is yours. Bear in mind that you are putting a new loader on a tractor thats probably 10-12 yrs old/ How long do you intend to keep the tractors & what age/condition is it? That MX loader on DD looks very good value at the price, if it were me I definitely have a look at that and keep €3.5k in my pocket if possible.

It sounds to me like that could be a small for that tractor loader too.

    Check specifications carefully.

Very interesting topic as I am currently looking for a loader for my TS115 tractor as my JCB 3CX engine has died and i am looking to get a tractor loader rather than trying to fix and old digger.

Are these the two main areas for looking at a loader?
    Will it have softdrive?
    Will it have self levelling?
    Pumped for shear grab?

    thanks
