    There's one good thinng about Ireland anyway, you don't have to go far to get to the nearest hill. There is a lot of very flat land in the UK.

    Jeez that is terrible for that poor lad. Ud worry about him with that much stress. Hard to keep going in those circumstances.

    You would probably truck away while its all happening but in a few weeks when he is taking stock of what it all cost him and will it happen next year again he could be feeling fairly low .

    I'm a bit removed from the farming scene 😃

    But isn't the uk government crap at supporting farmers? At least here I think farmers have more support no?

    I don't know how he can afford to on - financially or emotionally.

    Farming can be a cruel sport sometimes. Situations like that can be hard going on the spirit, hope he makes his way through it

    you have to really feel for the lad. Its rotten what water can do. Even what to do tomorrow let alone next week will be a major challenge. How many other lads are in a similar situation and is there going to be help?
