Hi folks, wondering what's involved in changing an oil cooler in one of these? Can't get any man to come out and change it, every mans either too busy or want the machine transported to them.

Two pipes and some mounting brackets to unbolt/re-install. getting at them can be a bit fun though. Very d.i.yable,

No need to drain the hydraulic oil?

nah, shouldn't be. Have a clean container to collect spillage and return to tank. And some rags, to jam in the pipes if I'm wrong..

bear in mind the contents of the cooler will leak - so you need a shallow container to shove under it to catch that bit. no biggie tho.

Don't forget to release the hydraulic pressure before you open the pipes. I would not put the oil that comes out back in to the tank, it is very difficult to keep it completely clean, bits of dirt always fall in to the container, better to be safe than sorry.
