    just a general question, have not looked at any car in particular....

    the 1.6 tdci as fitted to focus etc,, as you cannot trust "service history" which could be anything from main dealer or diy , if it starts to give trouble can anyone tell me,,

    A---is turbo going the worst that can happen and how much to sort out properly?

    B---are the different horses fitted with dmf or just the bigger ones?

    Receipts, a stamped service book, and verification of these (call the garage) proves plenty.

    You want to be sure that servicing (particularly oil changes) have been done on time, and with the correct spec. lubricant.

    Turbos, fuel injector seals, oil leaks but also abs units power steering units etc . 1.6 turbo diesel is a puegeot unit ive replaced 2 turbos in one car and there was one done before that but still a great car make sure if its an import that the mileage is correct and check the dpf fluid level etc.
