Diep in Drumcondra, never been but I've eaten in the one in the airport and its lovely. Might deliver up there and you can get a bottle of wine with your order. Anderson's creperie is just down the road if you fancy dessert.

That's where I used to get take away from when I lived in Finglas. First Class for Chinese, Spice & Rice on Dorset St for Indian, Little Chip for chipper food.

Camile only do deliveries at a 2KM radius so you might be just out of range, but if not..very nice. Their chicken wing starter is awesome.

Edit: Doh, I just read you can collect.

Camilie does deliver to us but we end up going to Diep.

there is a really bad selection of take aways in the dublin 11 area.

it appears all the nice take aways are on the southside :(

I live in Dublin 9 and I think we're spoilt for choice with takeaways! (Although this is coming from living in Meath).

Don't really eat Chinese, but for great quality Thai there is Diep and Camile, for Indian there's Bombay Pantry and Spice n Rice, for pizza there's Firehouse in Ballymun. Not exactly "posh" but all really great takeaways IMO.

there is really only 3 independent pizza, diep/camile and bombay pantry

no Lebanese, Greek, mexican, Japanese etc.

all the chinese places are horrible grease spoons

I ate in the Rose Garden (above the Bottom of the Hill pub) yesterday and it was delicious. I've never had take away from there though so can't compare, but the restaurant food was lovely.

Well that's 4! Firehouse is far better than Independent Pizza IMO, but even so, that's 5.

Okayu in Fairview is gorgeous for Japanese. There's The Hungry Mexican on Bolton Street, granted I haven't tried yet. There's another Mexican in Phibsboro too. Maybe not as extensive a selection as some other parts of Dublin, but there's still plenty of choice.
