    Hi,

I was wondering if I could receive an answer to a query here, otherwise I will ask my solicitor tomorrow (I mean Monday).

I am renewing my PI Insurance to provide architectural services. I am practising in Ireland, mostly Leinster.

The wording of the insurances that I am proposed states: "This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales".

I wonder if this could represent a problem if I was prosecuted by a client in Dublin? Or should I not bother with this issue?

    Thanks in advance.

That is probably a reference to the law that would apply in the event of a legal dispute between you and your insurers arising out of the contract between you.
I suspect that your insurers may be British and using an UK template. Ask them to clarify the point.

    Hi Nutley Boy,

I will ask the broker. The insurer is indeed British.

    Thank you for your assistance.
