Well historically some did look like that. So it's accurate in that sense. If you really want one with winglets I'm sure the likes of Herpa will do a version with winglets for a similar price.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Herpa-609395-Ryanair-Boeing-737-800/dp/B009JVM6FS

£13.25 (not incl postage) on Amazon, with winglets and correct livery.

I just sent an Email to Premier planes and they said

"We ran out of stock of the Ryanair scale model plane with winglets a while ago however models without became available so we decided to sell them whilst we waited for the stock with winglets to come back in. Once we've sold through our current stock we will sell the winglet version again."

If the photo you saw in the inflight magazine had winglets on it and the proper livery you are entitled to a refund, and if it was me id pursue it, the model they gave you looks crap compared to the one on amazon!

I'd get a refund and get the model with the winglets. The inflight model does look terrible, doesn't look right without the winglets. I would buy it if it were in the old FR livery as the 737-800s didn't have the winglets then!

Also the plane ID is EI-DAZ which left service in 2011, so its defiantly old stock

There's a great model aircraft shop in East Midlands Airport, use to get a plane everytime going through and my wife would get me one when she was over working. I had Ryanair 200,800 Aer Lingus 330, Air France 777,380 and numerous others, all diecast models. The box got "lost" when I was moving house a couple of years ago.
