I need a reliable pc for video production work. Running Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
I got onto a local guy who has done some work for me before, I trust him but hes running a business so I just wanna make sure hes not up-selling me stuff I wont need.
    Thanks guise !

Its a very very overpriced PC. It only has 4GB of ram as well. You would need 8GB min or 16GB for the work you plan on doing with the PC or your going to hit a huge bottleneck. Also has no SSD which would greatly improve performance. You should be getting an i7 in the build as well over an i5 for the price I definitly wouldn't purchase it!

Would you be into building your own PC? There the best way to go and the easiest to upgrade if you ever need it. 1400 is a complete and utter rip off.
I can spec up a build and hardwareversand the company we all use here would put it together for 20 euro.

I would be inclined to go with this build if you have no plans on building your own. and maybe this monitor.

That'd be fantastic, thank you very much. Sounds like I was close to getting cleaned out so, jaysus.

From a builders perspective its a rip off. He seems to be buying this from HP adding a GPU and Irish VAT. If you were to build something similar yourself it would be less than €950 for the whole lot.

Isn't Final Cut Pro a Mac only application?

First PDF contained company details and has been snipped. Alas, even though they so royally deserve it, due to potential legal bills we can't run any "Name And Shame" campaigns - many shadier smaller companies and scammers watch forums like these, looking for their names being mentioned and operating a "sue first ask questions never" policy to cover themselves :(

Why the sad face ? Time is money, If someone has took the time to come here to be informed they just saved money, It's already too late for the aforementioned greedy Company had it been named or not. Because it means one less guy/girl being suckered.

Like was said above Final Cut Pro runs only on a mac, maybe you meant adobe premier pro or something.

Also looks like he is not building it himself and prob buying HP machine and card from another supplier so is prob not adding that much to the price himself.

Building it yourself or ordering off the supplier yourself would be cheaper but you may not get the help setting it up etc if that is what you wanted, as if you are able to just build it yourself and install all software etc(not a hard thing to do) then ordering the parts yourself is a no brainer.
If on the other hand you need help with that then youay also need help installing everything and setting it up and possibly whatever other support your local guy provides.

Something like this would be miles better

    Item|Price
    2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance PC3-12800U CL10-10-10-27|€144.88
    ASRock B85M Pro4, Sockel 1150, mATX|€58.79
    Intel Xeon E3-1230v3 Bx, LGA1150|€216.30
Samsung SSD 840 EVO Basic 250GB SATA 6Gb/s|€139.99
    WD Blue 1TB 6Gb's|€50.84
Corsair Carbide Series 200R, ATX, ohne Netzteil|€50.26
Corsair CX Series Modular CX500M, 500W|€57.22
    ZOTAC GeForce GTX 760, 2GB DDR5|€214.31
    Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit (SB-Version)|€124.83
    Shipping|€18.99
    Total|€1076.41

I think after effects makes use of only certain Nvidia cards for 3D rendering. Seems like the 760 is the cheapest on the list.
