Renault Scenic NCT Fail

    Hey everyone

Just failed the NCT. We have a 2008 Renault Scenic II 1.5 DCI Dynamique 106.

    Failed on
    - Battery Mounting - Insecure
    - Wishbone\ wb bushes - Worn

Any suggestions on how much this would cost to fix in a garage?

    Thanks
    K.

Also, we had a clutch changed by a guy last summer and I haven't been happy with it since. He said that when he put it in, he didn't take the gearbox out of the car - he simply tilted it to the side to fit the clutch. Since then, there is a funny creaking in the car especially when I turn the wheel to furthest it can go. I know nothing about cars and didn't wanna face it in case it was massively expensive.
    - would that make sense that the mechanic could have damaged the wishbones and dislodged the mounting?

The battery mount is a simple and cheap fix. You can maybe do it yourself, or a handy friend.
About the wishbone bush, about 50-100 depending.

I had that on a car a few years back (battery) lads in the nct centre said as long as it was secured they were happy and suggested cable ties. I got good thick ones and it did the job.

    Hey
Thanks for that. Would the E100 inc fitting do you think?
Wouldn't know where to start with battery mount - any websites/suggestions to get me started. I'll prob head into the garage with it but don't want them to do anything expensive,
