    It's a 2008 model. Bought it in 2012 2nd hand.

Old style Sora shifters. Tiagra front and rear mechs.

    This is the original spec:

    http://www.bikepedia.com/quickbike/BikeSpecs.aspx?year=2007&brand=Specialized&model=Sequoia#.UvejpnkgGc0

Upgrades are: Tiagra front mech, ritchey 110mm stem and and 440mm bars.

I have 420mm bars and a 90mm stem if you need them to get the fit better.

Giant Defy 3, 2011 model. Size L in Giant sizes, which is the equivelant of a 56cm. Has had the rear casette/chain etc etc chainged over the years, but has alwasy been well looked after.

Fizik Arione CX saddle on there at the minute(have the original giant if you'd prefer), along with 2 gatorskin tyres on the original wheelset. Look Keo pedals, which are about 2 years old, bit grubby but working perfectly. Original cages if you prefer.

Bought brand new by me in June 2011, receipt available. I believe Giant do lifetime guarantee on their frames.

Forgot to add that this doesn't include pedals. So I'd take €300.

Thanks again for replies lads.Price and location johnk ?Im in an akward position that I qualify for a bike to work purchase but would still consider a real bargain .But realistically need to get something (well) under half of new purchase price .Not at all keen on Shimano thumb style shifter unless VERY cheap .

Well, I'm in Dublin (city center) during the week. Travel a bit on the weekends. Whereabouts are you?

I wish I had done what you are thinking of doing, as soon after I had gotten into cycling, I was dying for a new bike and wished I had used th BTW for a higher priced bike.

I would like around €400 incl. the fizik saddle. I feel that is fair enough, considering what these go for on donedeal etc.

You are welcome to have a look during the week if you wish.

Hmmm, well I guess it would have to start with a "1" .Does it need anything spent on it apart from pedals?(new Look Keo basic but raceable pedals about 50-60 euro?)No clunks from headset/BB/wheels etc?Where ya based?Heavy bike but solid , reliable and comfy? Thanks.

Bike is in fine shape, BB and head set are smooth and noise free. Chainrings, casette and chain have plenty of life left. I'll throw in a long cage Sora derailleur I bought to do a job on a mates bike but didn't need and that would be the only part I'd worry about in the short-medium term. I also have a spare SRAM 8 speed cassette that was briefly on the bike, I think it's an 11-30 or 11-28.

The wheels are grand, I never really used them in the year I had the bike as I got a set of Mavic Cosmics from a mate for buttons.

It's not particularly heavy at that, weight less than 8.5kg with the cosmics on. Don't know what it is with the stock wheels.

Obviously, wheels not as shown and upgraded to white Ritchey stem and bars. If you want any more pics give me a shout. I'm based in Celbridge.

320 will get you a brand new carrera, other than that eBay and an eagle eye on DD ?

And with an Axa insurance number you get 10% off that price.

I have a BH aluminium road bike with a carbon fork. Bought new around 2006 or 2007. I actually only used it for a couple thousand miles, if even. Been in storage in a dry shed or in the house all that time as I took up running for a few years and never cycled.

I've attached some pics. I'm not up on all of the ins and outs of specs for shifters etc. so maybe the pics will help there.

Pretty basic, thumb shifters, reliable all the same.
    New gatorskin tyres and tubes
    Practically new brake pads
    Shimano r500 wheels i think
    look keo pedals
    old speedo
    wee pump
    compag shifters
    Very comfy seat :)

I measured the cross bar (which is sloped ) from centre of seat post to centre of headset, and its 54cm. I'm 5'11.

Cons: Last time I dicked around with the gears, I don't know what i did but for certain gears, the lower pulley pulls up and the chain can rub itself, if you get me. I'm not sure how to fix this. Happens when in the smallest cog on cassette and the smaller chain ring(not that you really use that gear) . Again, sorry I'm not sure of the lingo.

I have no idea what it is worth. Any ideas anyone?

    Howdy.
I've no idea of the model sorry, I did look but can't see anything. I googled the numbers under the BB but they are just serial numbers obviously, no use. pics of shifters attached.

    I'm in Celbridge.

A further look there, I'd be hanging onto that saddle and swap it for a white 4za stratos which is a good saddle.

I'm looking for €250. Like I said, you'll need to adjust the gears but that's it. Very good new tyres, tubes and brake pads.

more info: 170mm fsa crank, 110mm stem, 18 speed
