    Have you used this company? Does it matter much where the hosting service is geographically?

    I've used them for domain registrations for a few years, though never for hosting. They're legit enough.

    Depending on the target market for your site, your hosting location could have a slight SEO impact, and obviously you'll have a higher latency if you're hosted far away.

    Whether this is an issue for you really depends on your site and target market.
    If it's not a commercial site then I wouldn't worry about it at all. And even if it is for the price it might be worth taking a punt on it and running some tests before switching your site over.

    You can choose a UK or US (default, cheaper) datacentre when you sign up.

    So for around 10 euro for the year I can get a uk IP address, will this allow me to watch bbc iplayer and such?
