Playstation 4 and UPC Technicolor t7200 modem/router

Upgraded to Horizon not too long ago and 200mbs broadband. Use wireless. Wired is not a option. I got my modem de conciliated as the Horizon box did not work properly with any device in the house. Modem they sent is a Technicolor T7200 and its been intermittent but as far as my Playstation 4 goes, It doesn't.

it seems capable of connecting however the speed ranges from 0-400KB if I'm lucky, so online play is out the question.

The question or help/advice/guidance i am looking for or wondering is if anyone has had this issue since upgrading, if so were you able to fix it?
I've been searching through the internets for solutions but no luck. I have also tried a third party tech support as well as UPC as far as their willing to help.

I still have the the old UPC router cisco epc2425 something which worked perfectly when i had it, asked if i could use it again but they said no.
I tried using it as a repeater and the ps4 worked however i think some issues arose as some devices disconnected and various issues arose with other devices in the house.

My knowledge is limited when toying with routers and my online research is hitting dead ends. Pretty skint but getting to pint of paying someone who gets it working as a reward.

I have the same problem, just got mine a few days ago from DHL man, he just gave me the box and walked off so I had to set it up myself. I've done a year of computing and then dropped out a few years back in Blanch IT so I can do basic stuff anyway. I turned UPnP on thinking that would sort the ports out as I can't figure out how to do it manually and the xbox 360 just constantly disconnects etc while every other electronic is fine

Ask can they provision the 2425 in place of the technicolour, give the CM MAC number. Might take a week or two but at least you won't have to deal with the port problem
