I was an intern for four months on jobbridge with a sales company, the job was ok I found it interesting and I would have like to stick with it but my bosses were assholes who totally abused the system, but anyway I took some time off to attend a funeral in the family and I was basically told I was being sacked which to be honest after that stage i didn't mind as I'd had enough of there crap, but my question here is, even though I was on jobbridge I did receive commission, now that I have finished there I am looking to collect the rest of the commission I'm owed but they won't answer my calls. I don't think I was ment to be earning commission so I don't know If I have a case or not but I would just like some opinions on this matter thank you.

Report them to FAS/Jobbridge listing the reasons why you think they're assholes and that they're not answering your calls.

Job-bridge = no commission. You're being paid by Social Welfare not the company. SW Don't do commission. Did you get the commission payment in cash? How was this taxed/declared to Revenue? (Others may well ask theses questions at some stage.)

Did the company allow you time off for the funeral, or did you just take it? Did you ask SW for the policy on Compassionate Leave? Even for a close/direct family member, compassionate leave is quite short - for an extended family member, 1 day is usual.

Personally, I'd leave it and move on.
