I'm looking for a recommendation for a mechanic around the Ringsend/East Wall area. Have moved recently, and have spent a bit on a car so want to start taking care of it properly. At the moment it's just a general service, but if anyone has a recommendation or knows anyone doing business in the area feel free to let me know

They are in Arbour Hill, Dublin 7 but they seem to get good reviews. I think it would be worth your while travelling the 2 miles and getting a quote off them.

As you can imagine, people have different preferences in Mechanics. Some people give a mechanic a bad review if he/she doesn't wash the car or hoover the seats.
A good mechanic is a mechanic that is well capable and is positive with you. he/she doesn't make big deals about repairs, he/she keeps you informed of the work being carried out and most of all, he/she doesn't over-charge.

I would recommend Mervin at Charleville Motors any day. We have a big 4x4 and he's always doing a fab job...plus, he helps you find spare parts if you don't want to go for new expensive ones. He's also a really nice guy and totally honest. :)
