I had a Planet X Uncle John and LOVED it ( Cyclocross/touring with Ultegra for 1300E 3 or 4 years ago) .Im keen on their Ultegra equipped carbon bikes for 1299 but availability seems to be an issue .Whats the quality of those PX carbon frames like anyway?Theyve been around a good few years now...

How would this Giant with Aluxx SL and Ultegra compare ?I read (admittedly via Giant !) that their best aluminium frames are lighter and stiffer than many carbons...

Feel free to recommend any bikes /links etc

Use - irregular fast training MAYBE club races -but likely a few very long spins .

Planet X carbon frames are very good, from experience.
