Porting voice services takes 24-48 hours (24 hours for eircom to release the number and then 24 hours to port over).

After that, it takes 7-10 working days for the broadband to get ported.

I would have thought it would have been bit stream reseller through Eircom wholesale with O2's IP's/network etc. I very much doubt O2 would sell an Eircom retail product. Just wouldn't make sense for them.

o2 Arent a DSL provider but they realised they needed the 3 way bundles to compete. I dont know the ins and outs of it but the broadband is provided by eircom.

This article suggests it's through Eircom wholesale

So we would have no broadband for 7-10 working days? Couldnt have that.

O2's DSL is just like any other Bitstream resellers offering.

Normally the broadband would still function as normal from the losing supplier during that period.
