5* +1 missing

Hi

Have a sky box with no card that I use for FTA. Just noticed today that 5*+1 is missing from the EPG. Also on my subscription Sky box, in Other Channels it is now showing as 7716.

Anyone heard if it was going off the air?

There was talk of it being replaced by 5 +24hours.

Yes, it's being shut down due to having very low viewing figures and is being used instead to have a new channel, Channel 5+24, which will show a couple of hours of the Channel 5 schedule exactly 24 hours after it was broadcast, the rest of the time it will be teleshopping.

It launches at 6am tomorrow morning with teleshopping up until 6pm and goes back to teleshopping at about 11pm until 6pm the next day. :rolleyes:

It's such a waste of a channel. I used to watch a lot on 5* and +1. Now gonna miss some progs because of this

I agree the space it is taking up would be better used to improve the bitrate on the other 9 channels instead but as usual its all to do with advertising revenue why we have another useless channel
