Assault in Willamstown

    Anyone hear anything about this? Its a bit vague just saying Willamstown... was he walking home or at a party or his house... just wondering was there any more info as its close enough to where i live..

    "A 22-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after an assault in Waterford in the early hours of this morning.

    Two men, aged 22 and 20, were today arrested in relation to the assault.

    They were arrested at lunchtime today in Portlaoise and Offaly, respectively and are both being held in Waterford Garda station.

    The man received head injuries in the attack at Willamstown in Waterford city shortly after midnight.

    He was taken to Ardkeen hospital and then transferred to Cork University Hospital when his condition deteriorated"
