Just curious as to how much one of these would be to fly for about a half hour to an hour. Is there a limit to teh size of them and how much lettering could go on one.

I guess that was cheaper than if they'd actually spelt 'league' properly.

Just looking a rough cost TBH. If a flying lesson is between 150-250 and hour, i suppose it shouldnt be much more expensive to trail something along the back of it

It's not that expensive as it doesn't take long to set up the message. Been there, done that! You can also have your own banner in full colour made as well.

There is a limit to the size though.

Thanks for putting that up, always wondered did they take off with the banner or collect it along the runway. Answered that question!

Didn't know Gerry did that. It's a tricky manoeuvre. Impressive to see up close up. All kinds of things can go wrong. Aerial Advertising lost a Decathlon back in the nineties when the pilot misjudged it. Two dead. Very unfortunate.

I'll never be that silly lol.

It's for a wind up when my local team is playing their rivals, as ya do

Was waiting to load onto the ferry in fishguard back in 2010 behind a group of travellers heading back across the pond with the hearse leading the convoy. All of a sudden every one of them jumped out of their cars and were pointing to the sky. A small plane appeared pulling a banner like the one above with "RIP PA CONNORS UP WEXFORD!" on it!
