Long Shot Planet X 50mm Clinchers Axle!!

Hi all,
Whilst trying to replace the freehub I ended up breaking the rear axle on my Planet X Carbon Clinchers:mad:.

Long shot but has anyone got one of these axles or an old Planet X Hub with the same axle they'd be willing to part with????
Its an aluminium axle stamped with Chosen 1109 ..

Ive tried PX Athlone but they dont seem to have much interest in returning calls or helping out.

Any help much appreciated

I'm sure you could get one from planetx.co.uk if you tried them. shouldn't be very expensive.

As above,take LCRC's advise,the Athlone branch has'nt the best customer service.

I have an axle from a Planet X Model B, it has no markings so I have no idea if it would help! Maybe Planet X could tell you if the wheels had the same hub.

Thanks for your reply.
Ill post a picture of the axle when I get a chance and you could let me know if its the same.

I've emailed PX UK last thursday but as of yet I received no reply.

There is a reply from daveplantx on page 2 where he explains some of the difficulties in the customer service dept.

Lescol , that looks very similar to my axle . Let me know how much you'd let it go for inc postage .

Unfortunately The Axle from Lescol ( thanks again Lescol) won't fit so I'm still waiting from a reply from PX . If anyone has an old hub or banjaxed rear wheel give us a shout.

Here's a piccy of my broken axle . Anyone have anything like this . PX Ireland still no joy & UK have yet to return call . Disappointing customer service .

Not bad considering you'll get the axle, a new freehub and the bearings!

I haven't checked the post yet, but if you haven't sent the axle back to me then you can keep it! I managed to explode the rim of my PX rear wheel last night, guess it was more worn than I thought, so I no longer have a working PX wheel!

Hi lescol , I posted the axle yesterday so you should have it today or tommorrow . New hub would be a bit if a waste considering I already bought an new freehub fitting this was what lead to me breaking the axle ... I suppose I could always return the freehub.
