Anyone know what that helicopter that is hovering along the Barrow is looking for? Hopefully it is tracking the flow of the river no looking for someone whose missing DV.

Think it was to do with the Fire Brigade filling as it was over houses on Staplestown Road where the Fire Brigade, Ambulance & Gardai were earlier when I passed up that way.

Unfortunately heard the helicopter was looking for a woman that jumped from the new bridge at the sugar factory.

Sadly, that heli is back this evening. Apparently a second person, a young adult male, is missing downriver from town.

The chaps body hasn't been recovered yet and you make a ridiculous comment like that, speculation of that nature is stupid on a public forum, you should try to keep in mind people related to the lad could very well be reading this.

That's where the story actually stems from. A plea from his sister on Facebook saying stop with those stupid videos. Saying after downing a pint he jumped in. Another lad done the same thing in the liffey during the week. You could see in the video he underestimated the tides.

They're still currently looking for his body. I don't believe that woman has been found either.

RTE Radio 1 news reported that the body of the young man was found this morning.

'Tis a small mercy for his family, that they're spared a long drawn out search op.

Sadly there was nothing positive or otherwise reported about the female who entered the water on Friday.
