My daughter has an appointment here next month & I was wondering if anyone could tell me of any hotels near the hospital. We have to stay overnight as appointment is for 9am. Also it is far from Heuston Station?

It's only really a 10 minute taxi journey from Heuston. Not sure about hotels though.

Ring the hospital and enquire about parents accommodation. Might only be for long term patients though.

the ashling hotel is next to heuston station. this is 3 luas stops plus 10 minute walk to crumlin hospital

the 123/122/150/151 bus routes all setrvice crumlin hospital also.

you could get cheap rate in arlington hotel in city centre or jurys and bus from there.

ashling is good though for being near heuston.

that or get the 5.25am train up and go back down same day if you are tight on cash.

(also book train in advance for lower fare)

Red Cow isn't far, probably about 5/10 mins in a taxi the next morning.

Ibis Hotel is around €45 a night and is right beside the Red Cow Luas stop, which is about 20 mins on the Luas from Heuston.

Taxi from there to Crumlin hospital would be €12/13.

    Hi OP,

Attached is a map showing Heuston Station (circled in red) and Crumlin Hospital (circled in blue), you'll have to excuse the artwork.

When you're checking out hotel prices you might also consider Bed and Breakfasts. I've highlighted in yellow an area of the South Circular Road on which there are a couple (Ethan House and Portland House are names that come to mind). They are on the 123 bus route which goes past Crumlin Hospital.

    Would second Terry's choice!
Sheldon Park is certainly the nearest hotel! Hotel is a a 6/7 minute walk from the Kylemore Rd Luas stop opposite McDonalds on the Naas Rd! A taxi from the Sheldon would take less then 10 minutes to the hospital and you can catch the 18 bus to the childrens hospital from outside the Sheldon though a taxi would be a better option!
