You will most likely need an adapter for the steering wheel controls. Probably 30 yoyo ish online. More if you pay someone to supply and fit. Depends on car.

You shud be able to buy the ISO adapter blocks in halfords. If you can get them the stereo will just plug in.

He will stil need the adapter for steering wheel controls, these often have the iso adapter included - op, check that out first.

Also, while halfords are convenient, they are probably the most expensive option for buying iso adapters.

I will check other stereos to see which ones have the adaptor for the steering wheel included.. Don't mind paying that bit extra.

Any ideas where for fitting I am useless at it :-)

Afaik no generic stereo comes with the vehicle/manufacturer specific SWC adapter. You buy a SWC compatible head unit, pioneer in this case. You then buy ,say, a renault megane SWC adapter, and a patch lead that goes from that adapter to suit a pioneer head unit.

Sometimes its plug and play, other times some splicing is needed. That's been my recent experience anyway!

Don't think halfords carry swc adapters. Be worth a chat with an outfit that could do everything under one roof if you're not confident in picking the right adapters. (i have an unusual spec car so I got my first adapter choice wrong) No recommendations of fitters for ya im afraid.
Incartec in the UK will have an adapter though.

Isn't the scenic multiplex, ie would need additional wiring to make stereo turn off with the ignition?

Are you changing because your stereo is broken or because you want the Bluetooth streaming?

Yea really because I want front aux & Bluetooth etc.. Just to really update my stereo

Prob not worth the hassle at this stage

Simpler to get an aux in adaptor that uses the cd changer port. You can get Bluetooth to 3.5mm adaptor yokes handy enough if you don't wanna use a lead.

    Or this sort of thing
