Samsung smartphone for €25 in carphone warehouse!

Hi all, usually browse this site and have never posted before but came across this today and want to share as you all have helped me find a bargain so many times before!!

Carphone warehouse have a deal going for a Samsung fame android phone for €25
Seems like you have to switch to Vodafone to get it but think you can pick up a free tesco sim for that?

Anyway seems like the phone is usually 59 when you buy it in Vodafone so not a bad shout!

Deal ends Friday (today!!) according to the guy I was talking to today..

Is it 6810 or 6810P?

She didn't say it was on the site she was interacting with an actual human.


Its pretty useless as a smartphone because the keyboard takes up the whole screen but the 6810p has mhl so would be a nice gadget to plug into the tv.

What's that about the keyboard??

I'll pop into store today and find out the craic but find it hard to believe. Currently 89 online with CPW and 79 with VF, although they (VF) will give you 20 off to port, so 59 net. Still more than double the OP price.

320 x 480 just isnt enough resolution when you have keyboard open you,ve only got a tiny bit of space lert for viewing and entering text, selecting text scrolling around its very tedious.

Hi yea it was in the shop that I found out about it.

Its definitely 25!!

Wouldn't use it myself as a main phone myself cause i already have a good phone but as a back up or a present for my niece maybe...

Cheers, I'll head down and try nab one. Had a look at youtube review. Not a lot of real estate left once keyboard is active, but for a 14yr old with small fingers, and at that price, it'll bloody do

Vodafone smart III has 4" screen with better resolution and beats it in all benchmarks. I have one as a spare and its a very usable phone. I wouldn't consider the fame usable.

Thanks so much OP- I had one of these before and found it great ( until I dropped it in the kitchen sink full of water). Going to try and get one today...:)

Yea it is locked.. Anyway glad I helped a few of ye out!
Walk past carphone everyday on my way to work so if I spot any sort of decent offer again I'll post it up..

Raging I missed this, sent my husband to carphone warehouse yest as I was at work but they needed the sim from my phone before they would sell it to him. They told him he could still buy it for 25 today so headed in today but when we got there the same guy told him that he had been told the offer was over. He admitted telling him yesterday that he could come in today and the offer would still be there but still no joy.

It usually is. So its handy to keep old sims or pick them up and register them from time to time if an offer like this comes up.
