A31 Cefiro. Set up for drifting. Now that was fast.......

I suppose most powerful on the road was an E320 with a remap.... Holy sh*t that could go

My old Evo 5 with 360bhp.
But my remapped E60 LCI 535d was ferocious with only 340bhp but 500 foot pounds of torques :D

    M5 and M6 V10. M button released an extra 100 bhp.

Current M5. Not as wild but stupidly fast on the road.

    2012 BMW 535d for me - 313hp.

i bought a e36 bmw 323 coupe auto a few years back in sport mode when you put the foot down it paused until the revs built up and took off like a scalded cat. Unfortunately the engine suffered from the alusil /nikasil issues was using a lot of oil and i got rid of it in the auctions. 170 bhp

I know yeah, that's why I didn't say a veyron. Cos I've actually driven a LP-550-2. Video proof and all.

I'm delighted your first contribution to the thread is to try be a smart arse though. Mainly because it's backfired.

    I've the 5.7 of that with a puny 250 bhp :P

On topic, my 535d would be the most powerful car I've driven. Probably by some margin.

SLK32 AMG & Subaru Impreza turbo (rally prep'ed) - both around 350 bhp.

Owned a 1973 Mach 1 Mustang Conv when I lived in the states. It had a modded 351 Clevland V8, racing cams, C6 racing transmission, carbs that were big enough to climb into. Dyno had her at 400 hp at the back wheels, leaf springs and sh1te brakes.

Useless off the line, lethal on corners, totally undeliverable in the wet and you couldn't stop it. Serious crack and from a rolling start above 30mph it flew.

One car I regret selling but had no money at the time and to make it right would have cost a fortune so what can you do :)

Mercedes C32 AMG (354hp according to parkers)

Really caught me off guard as it was in full auto mode and not an AMG badge to be seen anywhere, inside or out.
(apart from the alloys - but you'd need a keen eye)

He (owner/friend) had me under the impression it was his wife's 1.8, that just so happend to be kitted out.

    Beautiful car.

    Audi R8 v10. 5.2l, manual box, 525bhp, and 4wd.

It's a doddle to drive, but it's tricky to park. It's got a lot of pick up too, at any speed, and in any gear.

Ha ha im 37 ( bit of a midlife crisis for me id say), i would imagine the insurance, tax, fuel costs, tyres etc could cost a fair bit alright, your friend must have liked them though seeing as he owned a few right?

Tax is same as any other 2.0 car, cheap at €710.
Tyres are not that expensive aslong as your not burning rubber at every junction. Remember these cars come with 17" and 18" max standars, none of this fancy 19" or 20" sh1t :D

Insurance and fuel is the killer depending. I was paying €990 fully comp for mine but With a 1k excess and i didn't do much mileage, I commuted on my bike so only used the car in the evenings and weekends. I had mine during the boom, so there was no such thing as MPG calculators :D

The most powerful was a V10 Audi R8 525bhp but the fastest was a 480bhp R33 Skyline, it was an absolute animal compared to the R8. (The R8 was at a track day in the uk 2 years ago, also drove a Murcialago and a 355 Ferrari on the same day)

Mini Cooper S. Just did a search and it appears it was about 180BHP. :(

It meant very little to me at the time though as I was just learning to drive. :p
