So im looking into getting a home gym just for convenience sake as my gym is a decent travel.
This is a good package I have found http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/premium-strength-package.php
Any other sites people would recommend I look on?if i was to get the one shown i would be getting it with rubber plates as the cast iron will be too loud from my house.Listed this would increase the price by 60 GBP but im sure they can be bargained with.I am also aware they are known to have some bad customer service but alot of it I see is just having to pre confirm everything is in stock before you order and you shouldn't have much problems.
I am particurly interested in the cable setup just to have a little bit of variety and not ALWAYS using barbells/dumbbells.I would probably get some Olympic dumbbell handles with a few more 5kg plates down the road so im not using 20kg plates on them making them huge ha
    Thanks guys

Get your hole onto Donedeal and adverts. Serious amount of decent kit on both sites.

I know thats not what I asked for.I dont particurly feel like scouring the site constantly looking for deals and traveling around the country trying to piece together the equipment I would rather just buy it all at once new

You asked what other sites you should look on though. Why ask if you don't actually want other sites?

Cool then buy the "good package" you mentioned in your OP and you can have everything delivered in one go.

Fair enough. d8fitness are recommenced for plates and bars. irishlifting is often recommended for equipment. You should give mick a ring and see what he can do for you.

    This x 100

Send him a link to the package you are interested in and see if he can beat the price.

I bought that rack, it's solid as a rock and they were no trouble to deal with. I have the cable attachment too, comes in handy.

A few questions if you dont mind mate?
The only thing I would miss from a commercial gym is cable flies,is it possible to do one armed flies off the lower pulley if you lie on the floor or on the bench?

how do you find doing lat pulldowns without having your knees anchored below something like in a lat pulldown in a commercial gym?

And if you happen to have the bench in the package another question.do you know what the height is when flat?I see complaints of some FID benches that they are too high and it can be hard to get a nice tight setup with feet on the ground while benching.Im only 5 ft 7 so I dont want it to be a problem.

    Thanks alot man!

    One armed flies are possible.

I don't use it for lat pull downs, prefer chin ups. But one time I used a bar on top of my knees which went under the support bars on either side and that does the job.

    I don't have that bench.

If you're anywhere near Firhouse, you're more than welcome to take a look.
