    Not the usual is it worth the money.

    But I would like to know the difference when it comes to the jackets?
    the seem to have different sub brands but can't see the difference.

    If its purely a waterproof suit your looking for I would highly recommend the galvin green paclite range.
    Incredibly lightweight and easy to swing in , while still with all the waterproof guarantees.
    Had mine around. 3 years now and is still like new.
    Also rolls up to nothing for easy space saving packing away in a golf bag.
    Think it's also slightly cheaper than some of the other GG suits also.
    If your also looking for a bit of insulation though, you may be better looking at some of the other ranges.

    They're generally paclite which is a super light goretex shell jacket or they are slightly thicker and warmer(can't remember the name)

    I have a short sleeved paclite so I can swing totally unrestricted which I find difficult in a full sleeve jacket

    Three main categories

    Paclite - light-weight, great for warm weather.

    Regular - Most suitable for Ireland really.

    Fleece lined - Great for winter golf.

    The majority are paclite and regular, but a whole new range with different names come out each year, so there's loads.

    I have one of each, but to be honest I only really use the regular in the summer and fleece lined one in the winter. If you only want one, regular is the way to go.

    Get a used one on ebay. Then just buy a gortex re-activation cleaner and be sure to tumble-dry it for at least 20 minutes after. This reactivates the gortex and makes the water roll off it again like new. (Most people don't do this and after a couple of years they start to absorb water. Then they sell them on ebay!)
