Scott Foil headset bearing - hens tooth?

    After exhaustive searches, I need help on this.
    The bottom bearing in my Foil headset is a Ritchey of the following size:
    ID = 34.1mm
    OD = 46mm
    Angle = 45x45deg
    and it's as rare as hens teeth.
    Ritchey don't seem to have them and I can't get any respose from them. Scott are equally uninterested and the LBS where I bought the bike are apparently unable to source one either.
    Does anybody have any idea where I can get this bearing? Or is there anyone at least in the same boat?
    Only a few weeks 'til racing starts and I need it sorted for then. The bearing actually packed in last August - way too soon for a headset to go IMO.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Slo

    Try Westbrook Cycles or Epic Cycles in the UK.

    I bought my Addict from Westbrook and they helped out with a BB cups issue.

    Westbrook cycles are great to deal with. Otherwise slane cycles in NI should be able to help.

    At £82 it would want to pedal the bike for me :D
    No it's not exactly right.
    Thanks.

    I rang westbrook and he swore blind that this is the product I need. But he's quoting the size on it as 1 1/4" where mine has printed on it 34.1mm which translates to 1.34252" or roughly 1 3/8". That makes his an 1/8" smaller - in engineering terms this is totally unnacceptable BUT could it be that there has been some rounding done on WB's side and that it will fit?
    He was sound too - just to reiterate what previous posters have said re WB cycles.

    Can't find any contact details for these guys on the google machine, would you happen to have a number or a link?
    Cheers

    I was over in Westbrook cycles last year, they are the main dealer / supplier and repair centre for Scott bikes in the north of England.They sell thousands of them every year. I would be inclined to go with what they suggest.
    http://www.westbrookcycles.co.uk/scott-foil-replacement-headset-bearing-set-p233400

    (The 1 1/4 size only refers to the outside diameter if the steering tube that the bearing fits. The angular contact area of the bearing interfaces with the crown race and not the steerer tube itself so the internal diameter of the bearing is larger.)

    Hi, it is a 1.25" or 1.1/4" bearing you are looking for, TH Industries make them, something like this:

    I joined in August 2012 and so I like to think I was one of the early members!!
    Orica Green Edge aren't doing the brand any harm either...by far the best craic of all the pro-teams. Those backstage videos from the TdeF were excellent - what sport is about for me.

    Daycent bike as far as I can see!
