Copied the above to it's own thread.

Obviously if you can get to the ground do, as there should be a great atmosphere after the heroics of last season. Game is also being streamed live on irishrugby.ie for those that can't make the game

Ireland begin the defence of their Women's RBS 6 Nations title in Ashbourne on Friday night. The team for the opening game contains one new cap with Hannah Casey of Saracens and Exiles included. The game will be streamed live on IrishRugby.ie
Casey is set to make her Ireland debut against Scotland as Philip Doyle's charges open their Championship title defense. Ireland host Scotland at Ashbourne RFC on Friday 31st January with a 7.30pm kick-off.
There is a familiar feel to the selection to face the Scots with players such as Fiona Coghlan, Nora Stapleton, Alison Miller and Lynne Cantwell all set to start. Niamh Briggs, one of the heroes last year's Womens Grand Slam campaign is on the bench.

There are three uncapped players named in the match day squad - Casey starts on the wing while fellow Saracen Kerri-Ann Craddock and St Mary's Orla Fitzsimons are on the bench.

Philip Doyle, Ireland Women's Head Coach, commented, "We had a good win against the Scots last year but we will need to put in a similar performance this time round to we get a positive result. It is great to be starting off the campaign in Ashbourne and hopefully we can deliver a strong performance."

The Ireland Women's team will play their first ever fixture at the Aviva Stadium when Italy come to play on Saturday 8th March. This game will kick-off approximately 40minutes after Ireland's RBS 6 Nations clash against the Azzuri has concluded.

For those in Dublin who want to go to the game Belvedere are running a few coaches out to game. Leaving Anglesea Road at 6pm sharp and pick up at Jury's Hotel, Custom House Quay at 6.15pm. The buses will return at about 11pm.

out of curiousity , does the womens team include most members of the sevens squad , who hopefully will compete at the next Olympics ?

think there is a bit of overlap but prob aiming at 15's as it's a World Cup year.

Womens Sevens team play in the US in mid Feb so they will be missing for that.

There are some players in both squads but the 7's squad has more out and out speedsters. There are a few of the 7's girls who haven't played 15's rugby for Ireland.

Was chatting to one of the girls. They have a waiting list for buses and will put on another if there is the demand. I will probably drive out as I live just off the N2 so it makes sense to drive.

    Will bring flags and flasks!
