Just a heads up for any AV heads out there!

I just saw on the HifiHut.ie website that they are having an Anthem demo day/evening there this Thursday. I've been reading up on their stuff recently & it sounds (if you can excuse the pun) very impressive. Their 'ARC' room correction seems second to none. They are huge in the US & I'm sure they're going to be making a bit of a splash over here now that they have a dealer on board.

For anyone that hasn't dealt with the guys in HiFi huty before, they are fantastic to deal with , they really know their stuff & you can't argue with the prices too much either in fairness!

Anyway, the demo is on from 2-7PM this Thursday, I'm going to shoot around after work & no doubt be wondering where I'm going to get the money for a new pre-pro soon thereafter! :)

BTW, I'm not an employee of HiFi hut or anything, just a hifi & av enthusiast who is genuinely excited about the Anthem kit!

I posted it on two forums where I know like minded people look for these things. If you're not interested then fine , don't be so sceptical, I have nothing to gain by getting people to go for a listen, only what they might gain!

Thanks, we've had quite a big response to this. Tom from Anthem really knows his stuff so it's a good resource if anyone has any more general questions.

Looking forward to meeting Tom on Thursday. Daniel have you listened to the 510 yet ?. Do you have all three receivers in store ?

We have the MRX510 set up with speaker profiles and ARC for the KEF R series surround set. It's an amazing piece of kit with so much versatility. The room/speaker calibration is streets ahead of the competition. We don't have the 310/710 on demo at the moment - but they are both available.

For a short period we are also testing the new JVC X700R 4K e-shift projector, so that will be part of the setup tomorrow.

Any other questions just let me know.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

I have the MRX 510 just over a month now and I can say it is without doubt the best receiver I have bought and coupled with the Kef LS50s and the R series sub and centre speaker it is an incredible system. The sound quality for both film and music is superb. Thanks to HiFi Hut and Tom from Anthem.

Thanks Rednik, we've had universally great feedback from everyone who've bought.

I'm not sure if you saw it but I particularly like this line from AV Forums review of the MRX710 -
"We often wonder how Anthem are able to deliver such a performance at this price point and once again the Canadian manufacturer has managed to surprise us... The MRX 710 is, quite simply, the best sounding AV receiver we have reviewed to date and is therefore the reference point against which all the other receivers will be compared."

Daniel I will call in again soon, I still need a couple of sets of these if they are in stock.

I am also thinking about what Tom said about the Oppo BDP 103, have you had any feedback on this player?.

We should have the floor protectors back in stock. If you give the store a call they'll be able to tell you (I'm in London for a product launch today - watch this space).

The Oppo 103D has been phenomenally popular for us. We've had very good feedback from customers and it's our resident player in our reference cinema demo setup. I noticed almost everyone with home cinema demo rooms at the Bristol show we're using it too, which speaks volumes imo.
