Met a girl online before christmas. Went on 3 dates so far each which went well. Hoping to meet up again soon. How often should we be meeting up at this stage of relationship?

Personally I don't think I would call it a relationship if I'd only seen someone 3 times in 4/5 weeks.

I don't think there should be any hard and fast rules in how many times you see each other. Do you talk to her in between dates? Have you discussed what you want from dating. I've seen it many times in on line dating where a person says one thing in their profile but actually want the opposite.

I would consider once a week to be about right. You want to show you are interested and if she is not agreeable on once a week then maybe she is not interested. That is how I would see it.

Totally depends on the people involved but from personal experience its very very early to consider it even close to a relationship at this stage. From personal internet dating experience meeting up once a week until date 7/8 would be normal, I think after that it's usually the point where you both either decide there's relationship potential there and up meetings to 3 times a week or so, or else call it quits. That's not to say you should deliberately limit dates to once a week though OP. If you genuinely feel there's a connecton there and would like to see her more often then absolutely ask her to meet up more. She'll either feel the same or she won't, the number of times you meet up won't change that. Again it's totally dependent on the individuals involved.

the reason that im asking is that its usually me that suggests meeting up and when i do she usuallly says she is busy. She let me down on 2 occassions at the last minute. each time we met it was me whohad to organise it as she never seemed too pushed. we text everyday but its is me who usually initiates the texting and she can take hours to reply.

Is it time to run a mile? I really like this girl. I have spent about 3 years using online dating with very little or no success. I said that this time was going to be my last time using it as im fed up of it at this stage. Thought this girl was different but maybe im wrong.

Cool the jets man, if you really like this girl then you run the risk of coming across as too eager. It's too difficult to say whether her interest is waning as this behaviour from her has been established since the start.

I'd ask her out again and if she agrees and meets up then when you are on the date make a joke of you asking her all the time and say it's her turn to ask/organise the next one.
If she makes an excuse as to why she can't meet up again then leave the ball in her court and tell her to give you a shout if she wants to meet up.
Either way it's up to her then and you'll know where you stand sooner rather than later.

Is she giving you time at wkend? Taking calls or just texting? What kind of dates have you had so far? All indicators of how serious she takes it all

Dates were during the week as she works weekends. all the dates so far were for dinner and then went to cinema afterwards

Is there a valid reason that she can't meet up often? Kids, college, work, hobbies?

Some people are just pretty busy and have previous commitments. I'm seeing someone and we're both single parents. We try to meet up at least once a week and sometimes we manage more, sometimes less. Between both of us working and having children, it's difficult at times to make the time. Distance is also a factor.

It's your choice as to whether this is acceptable to you or not as it varies from couple to couple depending on their lifestyle.

If you're dating and she's interested, then I'd think she'd want to see you once a week at least.

Before you go making it official, probably 2 months+ of dates / hanging out / spending time at each other's place.
