Would you really expect anything else from $ky, money is their No1 priority.
Their service is getting more Americanised every day.

They also have the ability to prevent you from fast forwarding through some or all of the ads in recordings. They'll enable that feature one day!

They also have the ability to replace the ads that are broadcast with targeted ads they saved to your Sky HD box.

If I recall, only around 11% of their revenue is from advertising, with the rest mostly from subscriptions. Considering this, they should look to cut back on ads - but nope, they are just greedy.

I'd be more surprised if there wasn't ads. The only online player that doesn't have them from what I've seen is the BBC iPlayer
