I'll keep feeding them the same food, bluegrass, but reduce the portion size.

I use spot 22 with my pointers. It is cheapish(€13/15kg), Lean and gives them lots of energy. But now the season is ending i will just start mixing it half and half with some cheaper dog food for €10/15kg that i get in a local shop.
I would be reluctant to change too much as my dogs are picky when it comes to food. They won't eat any multi-colour nuts or the ones with those corn flake like things in them for whatever reason.

I have found very little difference between using Greyhound or working dog food. I think it is just slightly leaner than other dog foods. But they have plenty of energy they hunted around 6-7 hours on the 1st of November. After a tough day like that i would add a tin of canned dog food for a bit of fat.

ya must do the trick so , because the price of good working dog food is ridiculous , although chudleys they say is the best and that's actually reasonably priced

I had my lad on Gain 28 for the season! suited him very well, kept him in good nick and high energy levels.
I'll pop him down to a regular complete food now for the off season
