Is it physically possible to remove the lights at Whitehall and built a bridge so it is freeflow?

If yes, why is this not completed before Newlands cross!

if you are talking about coming off the M1 would the build up of traffic not just start at the junction of Griffith ave then.

Are you talking about the junction of Collins Avenue and the Swords Road?

Even if such a free flow junction was built, why do you think it is more important or take priority over Newlands Cross?

Because he lives that side of the city, I'd imagine?

It'd be very complicated due to spacing, an underpass like on the N4 at Lucan wouldn't be an option due to the tunnel underneath and an overpass would be unlikely due to housing nearby.

And it is not in a million years as much of a priority as Newlands Cross, or the Kennelsfort Road junction (on the only DC in to the city), or even removing some more of the lights on the N11

Can anyone explain why the traffic lights at the Artane Roundabout cannot be replaced with pedestrian crossings. It would speed up traffic flow in all directions both entering and exiting the roundabout.

They did. They built a tunnel that goes all the way to the entrance to the port. It is called the Port Tunnel.
