    Recalcluating for VAT and €12.05 p&p, it's €25.14 - still a great price.

Around €5.20 for p&p if you use Parcel Motel, plus their €3.50 fee.

    Sweet find op.

Finally signed up to parcel motel too.

No stock for three weeks though so the waiting game begins.

Ordered one, a great find if it makes it over here.

    This has me worried though:
This item is when it is sold and shipped from Amazon, shipped only to the following countries: Germany

Same question i asked myself when i clicked buy. To be honest i do not even know what it does :o

Yeah.. I bought it.. now to see if they honor it

I had a nicer one but but a spilled tin of floor varnish from the shelf above made very close friends with it.

Always handy to have one though.

    Thanks op

A phone worthy of this power supply.

So could someone explain what its functionality is?

It's only any use to people with quite an interest in electronics. It outputs variable voltage and current. If you don't know what it does by looking at it, you will never really have a use for it. It's fairly specialised and of no use to the average person.

    Fantastic find!

I've been eying up an ATX power supply with a view to convert it to a bench supply, but this'll do the job nicely.

Bonus points for getting to use my last 3.50 for parcel motel! :D

Only complaint its that I like dedicated 5 and 12V rails, but at this price it's brilliant.

pay no attention to yer man

    it looks cool

you can use it as a spare power supply for your laptop though at 5.2Kg you'd want to buy two so you don't have to carry it from A to B

    or for testing torch bulbs

Possibly two of the most daft reasons possible to purchase this. :D

Make no mistake, it's a fine unit for the price. However, you would need to be into soldering and the like, and have an array of leads/connectors etc and understand constant current sources and the like to get any real use.

    I can do better.
You can use it to power an electric NERF gun. Increase the voltage to increase rate of fire.

Remote control batteries dead? Simply hook up this power supply to the +- points and hey presto, your remote works again!

If you think 4mm bananas are for very small monkeys this isn't for you. :p

I've a big triple output power supply that I call my sledgehammer so have been on the lookout for something smaller. This is still a bit of a lump hammer but if the price is honoured I won't complain!

Best type of power supply for a tattoo machine :D:D

That 3 amps will make a huge difference than a supposedly dedicated Tattoo power supply that might only give 0.5-1.5 amps.

Ta very much. Been looking for a decent bench psu for ages. Let's hope it gets here now.

Thanks - Been looking for one at a decent price for a very long time - my old analog scale one has an annoying intermittent fault..

The whole month thing before it ships though - is that normal?

The estimated shipping date's been updated with ESTIMATED DELIVERY: CURRENTLY WE STILL LIES AHEAD NO DATE. WE WILL NOTIFY YOU BY EMAIL AS SOON AS WE KNOW THE EXPECTED DELIVERY DATE (google translate)

So the estimated date at the end of Feb is gone.

    Wonder if they'll honour this?

    short answer: NO

    Very similar story here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=86547051

    - first step: delay the delivery date a few times
    - second step: make the product "no longer available"
    - third step: send an email (using copy/paste method) to the buyers and explain how much we are sorry about the whole situation

    Das ist das Ende.
