Did anyone go to the show last year? Is it worth a trip from Galway?

I'd love to see all the new 2014 top range road bike! and maybe the mountain bikes?

Its the same week-end I heard as when the Giro 2014 edition is in Belfast and Dublin....there mighten be many at it(visitors and exhibits) since its that week-end..

Such a great idea having a show like this on in IRE but the calendar of the show every year always buggers me.

It may well be trying to tie in with the Giro to maximise interest in the show? They have a Big Start 2014 logo on the Floor Plan page on their website

I've never been to a cycling show but would have thought that you'd be far better off spending your time going for a cycle.

It's in Merrion Square at the Giro finish this year. Thought first one was good, last year's was disappointing.

There's definitely a "competitive" focus but not exclusively so with exibitors from most disciplines there last year. I'm guessing exhibitors will be finalised nearer the event and will be well publicised as they are clearly aiming to cash in on the Giro this year - I would suggest checking out their website nearer the event

You made that clear with your first post. I was simply pointing out there is going to be a racing emphasis (particularly with the Giro in town), but that other disciplines are likely to be catered for. Hence I suggested you check out the exhibitors a bit nearer the event

I'd mostly agree but i'm thinking of upgrading and like to see first hand what's out there. Not everything has straight lines el tel.

I know, but going by the comments on last years event it soundd like a visit to a couple of bike shops would have been just as good.

Sure if you are thinking about upgrades why not let your tngers do the walking and ask f410. No one buys anything these days without agonising on boards about it.:pac:
