Hey guys wondering if anyone has any experience of this.
Car was only given a full service 5 months ago with 2,000 miles covered since then. Car has not been right since this service. It was actually serviced early because of an issue of fuel leaking at the pump next to the tank. Plugs and oil etc changed at last service. I am sure to issue is because of the work done by the garage who done the service. How would I go about proving this. So here are the number from the NCT from a few days ago

Low Idle(750rpm) Oil temp (83) CO 0.22 Pass
    Low Idle(750rpm) HC 239ppm N/A

    High Idle(2630rpm)
Lamba 0.95 (not between 0f.97-1.03) Fail
    CO 1.71 vol % (Above 0.30) Fail
HC 408 ppm (Above 200) Fail

    Compare with 2012 Feb figures
    Low idle(751rpm) Engine temp (90)
    CO 0.15% Vol Pass
    HC 92 ppm N/A

    High Idle (2700rpm)
    Lamda 1.01 Pass
    CO 0.08vol% Pass
    HC 97rpm Pass

There has been a massive shift in the space of about 11 months. I have found the car to be very sluggish since the last service and noisier than before. It seem to be using more fuel than before too with makes sense because I was told it was running rich. Where do I go from here. If there is an issue with the lamda sensor will fixing this clear the HC and CO levels.

Those emissions readings would certainly suggest running rich, yes. What sort of car is it, and what year?

How's the airfilter? You say "sluggish and noisier", which sounds almost like misfiring. It would be useful to have the OBD codes read, if any.

Not sure what OBD codes are they something to do with the ecu. I think the air filter was changed at the last service will have to see can I receipt.
Garage that did the work suggested the noise was from the tappets but said it was to be expected on a car of that age. Sounded suspect to me.
