If we can get a few out before 10, I'd like to try get everyone out in 3's. Things seem to move quicker.

Jaysus lads, lots of excuses been made already & not a ball hit.
Will be interesting to see results tomorrow night and see who was bluffing or who's game is really in trouble.

Happy days.... I have a green light for my first boards outing- I will hopefully be there for 9 to get back to dublin early. Is it just turn up and join a group?

Anyone running a book? Of all those lame excuses the "November car boot" poster looks most likely to figure in the prizes.

    enjoy it lads/lassies!

I have some leverage as she is out tomorrow night so I am giving her the night and morning off on Sunday.
This parenting malarkey is all a negotiation

It's a fine balance alright, you have to be careful to ensure both parties are equally unhappy :)

See ye tomorrow lads. Crazy week has meant that this has snook up, a nice bonus when I got home this evening and realised it's just a sleep away.

Hope ye all have an average day out there ;)

Well, who backed up their talk today?

I was happy how I played (32 points off 7)..
4 3 putts and only a single 1 putt for birdie tells its own story as from tee to green was very solid.

3 putt from 20 ft for eagle on the 1st set the tone for the day

19 points off 20 8 scratches absolute shocker and the worst round in memory so they may stay in the boot for another while. Thanks john and alan for the company and apologies for the poor performance. Course not in as good a shape as it was last year and greens very inconsistent but the food in the clubhouse was the perfect end to a windy day

35 points off 3. Very happy with that, but I was 1 under par after 11 and played the last 7 holes in 5 over par :(

the only disappointing thing about the day was the group of 3 fourballs that got out in front of the last 2 groups and held us to a 5 and half hour round for our 3 ball :(

Considering how well I struck the ball today, I am really disappointed with a return of 28 points.

Started quite well, drove the green side bunker on 2 and had a tap in birdie. But all down hill after the 8th, made some bad decisions off the tee and paid for it, really should have left the driver in the bag more.

Always enjoy the course when I play it but today thought it was very rough around the edges, greens were quite inconsistent which made pace putting very hit or miss. That will be easy fixed once the good weather comes in, will go back for sure.

Really enjoyed the company and the curry afterwards though.

    J

Enjoyed the day and company with John and Kevin.

30 pts of 17 but this was a tale of two halves with a consistent 19 on the front and woeful 11 on the back.

    Driver was relatively ok
Fairway wood / Hybrid very poor
    Irons poor
    Putting was steady

Some good up & downs saved some points.

It was quite chilly out there so looking forward to the warmer times ahead

Enjoyed the round! Bloody hell it's a hilly course- some cracking holes! Scored well on front but had a horrendous back 9. Enjoyed playing with Denis and Ivan- did Ivan win longest drive and overall?

Happy enough with 34 pts off 8 - I reckon that is a 9 point improvement from last year (with handicap change).

Well done anybody getting in the buffer today - tough going.

Played well from the tee - but never got anything going on the short irons or putting. Nice day - tough conditions with the ball floating in wind if high. And mostly a cross wind and changeable.

Was out with my Atlantic Coast team , a bit of a dry run for the summer - good company and 2 of us finished the round with the same ball - always an achievement for amateurs and a couple of euro saved on balls. :P

Well done Charlie - outstanding first day. People were beginning to question me, if I work - to confirm , due to work won't make a good few this year. So best of luck to all in next few outings.

Said to one of the lads, it is great to be in a society where the lads are as nuts about golf as yourself.

So catch ye soon - back to real life now.

Yes he did, it was a phenomenal drive! - David in our group got within 5 yards of him and he nutted it!

But I took one look at the sheet, saw reganovski's name and just knew it, the way he hits it, low and long, into the wind on that hole he was always going to be in with a shout :D

Hard day out there today . 31 points. 17 front 14 back. Good bit of Craic with pistolpete and Johnny. Great course, worth climbing all them hills.

Yes, just want to apologise to Paulos and the guys in the group in front of us, i was on the edge of that bunker with my tee shot while I'm sure they were on/near the green. so... sorry guys :)
