How YouTube AdSense works?

    Hi,

    Does anyone know how YouTube adsense works as in the price breakdown per click or per view? It is impossible to find on Google/YouTube as the only thing I can find is that the partner receives 68% of the revenue and that the threshold before actually getting paid is €70.

    Can ANYONE shed some light on this topic please? For example, how many views/clicks for a video to reach €70?

    Thanks guys. Any light on this would help massively.

    I would imagine it's much like AdSense everywhere else.

    There are two types of campaigns, pay-per-click and pay-per-impression.

    Advertisers set up their advert campaigns, and say how much they're willing to pay for an impression and/or a view, and what sort of campaign they want. They have quite sophisticated tools available, and can offer different amounts for different times of day, etc.

    Each time that a screen showing your ads is rendered on someone's PC, there is an auction, and the ad that is likely to pay the most is chosen and displayed. The cost to the advertiser is based on what their bid was.

    So in short, it's impossible to tell you what a click is worth, or how long it will take to get to any given amount.

    Thank you in you reply. At least I have more knowledge on how Youtube works now.

    Hi There;

    Depends on your video content quality as well and how popular your video is as it will attract higher quality brand advertisers to run ads on your you tube videos.

    On my videos , I get about $5 per thousand views. So not much..

    I've removed the YT name as it can be considered advertising/spamming.

    I think it all depends on your niche. If your talking about finance and gold then then the ads you will attract will pay more. Personally I think the adsence on YouTube has gone out the window. 2 years ago we would make a couple £100 a month of it which was sweet. We know get way more video views and our adsene gets very little money. I got rid of ads off my videos because it affected our click through rate to our landing page which gets us more money.
