    Hi,
I'll get straight to the point.
Im a 2nd year business student with a pass average for 1st year. Is there any point at all in applying for a summer internship realistically considering my awful average?

    Thanks.

There's no harm in applying but I wouldn't be too hopeful. I was in a similar position to you when I applied and I did get an interview but not a place.

Go for it. Lots of people scrape by in first or second year so poor grades are overlooked for internships.
